Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers are moving on to the next round of the NBA playoffs as they took down the Orlando Magic in game seven on Sunday. The Magic got out to a big lead in the first half as they led by as many as 18 points, but the Cavaliers stormed back to get the win, thanks to Mitchell. The final score ended up being 106-94, and Mitchell led all scorers in the game as he finished with 39 points.

Sunday’s performance from Donovan Mitchell was masterful. He was 11-27 from the floor with nine rebounds and five assists, and he led his team to a game seven victory. He was the star of the game, and yet he still gave the Magic credit for their fight throughout the series in his postgame interview.

“First of all, I want to give to the credit to the Magic, man,” Mitchell said after the game in his interview with Lisa Salters. “They’ve got some dawgs over there. Jamahl Mosley is a phenomenal coach. They’ve got some guys (that are really good). Paolo Banchero is going to be a monster. Much respect to them. This wasn’t easy.”

The Magic do indeed have some dawgs, and Paolo Banchero played especially well on Sunday as he finished just behind Mitchell with 38 points. Orlando will be back.

Cleveland on the other hand is still alive and they will take on the Boston Celtics in their next series. Boston had far and away the best record in the NBA during the regular season. That series is going to be a lot of fun to watch.
