The Cleveland Cavaliers are advancing in the playoffs to take on the Boston Celtics after a game seven win on Sunday. The Orlando Magic got out to an 18-point lead in the first half, but Donovan Mitchell ended up dropping 39 points to lead all scorers, and he led the Cavaliers to a comeback win, 106-94.

Donovan Mitchell was determined to get the win on Sunday, and he got it. He was unstoppable all day long, and the Cavaliers are extremely tough to beat when he is playing like that. Cleveland head coach J.B. Bickerstaff knows how crucial Mitchell is to this team.

“[Mitchell is] the guy that can pull everybody along, not just with his skill but in spirit as well,” J.B. Bickerstaff said after the game, according to an article from ESPN. “When you see your teammate, a guy you care about playing that way, you don’t want to let that guy down so you go out and do whatever you can to help that guy. We talk about how everybody has their style and their piece of leadership here and that’s how Don leads, by being special in the moment. His teammates want to be a part of it.”

The Cavaliers are now moving on, and they are still hungry to make some more noise as they get ready for Boston.

“This is always definitely a special moment for this group, in particular, who has been through so much this year — who’s been left for dead multiple times by a lot of people,” Bickerstaff said. “For them to come together in this moment and figure it out … we’re most proud of that, but we’re not done yet.”

If Donovan Mitchell can put up some more performances like he did on Sunday, the Cavaliers can make a deep run.
