The New York Knicks won a big road against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday to go up 3-1 in the series. The 76ers have been very competitive in the series and they have put themselves in position to win games, but they now need to rattle off three victories in a row to advance. Getting one on the road was huge for the Knicks, and one thing that helped was their fan base traveling well to Philadelphia.

It doesn’t take very long to get from New York City to Philadelphia. It’s an easy train ride, and Knicks fans made the journey for games three and four. There were a lot of New York fans taking over Philadelphia, and Joel Embiid was a bit upset about it.

“Disappointing,” Embiid said, according to an article from Fox News.I love our fans. Think it’s unfortunate, and I’m not calling them out, but it is disappointing. Obviously, you got a lot of Knicks fans, and they’re down the road, and I’ve never seen it, and I’ve been here for 10 years. Yeah, it kind of pisses me off, especially because Philly is considered a sports town. They’ve always shown up, and I don’t think that should happen. Yeah. It’s not OK.”

It’s upsetting for Embiid and the 76ers, but on the other hand, it’s huge for the Knicks. Jalen Brunson was fired up to see how well the fans travelled.

“This Philadelphia fan base – I’ve said this before – is very relentless, very passionate,” Jalen Brunson said. “I’m an Eagles fan, I would know. Seeing the Knicks here, hearing the Knicks here was pretty cool, and it’s awesome.”

We’ll see if 76ers fans can match the energy on Tuesday as game five will be back in New York.
