The Indiana Pacers are moving on to the Eastern Conference Finals after taking down the New York Knicks on Sunday in game seven. All six games before Sunday went to the home team, but the road Pacers found a way to get it done over the weekend. Myles Turner had a good game in game seven as he dropped 17 points, and he is feeling proud of this Indiana team as they continue their playoff run.
“For me, personally, I can sit here and say a lot of things, but obviously it’s a long time coming,” Myles Turner said after the win, according to an article from NBA.com. “I’m just proud of this group, for real. It’s (the most) special group I’ve been around since I’ve been here. We all play for each other, there’s no ego. When you have guys who can score 15 to 20 plus points every single night, seven or eight guys, there can be a lot of ego involved with that and we were able to nip that in the bud.”
This is a special group, and Myles Turner is a special player. He was 7/11 from the field and he was also 2/3 from deep in Sunday’s win. This Indiana offense is something else, and they will need to bring their A-game for the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics.
Turner and the Pacers are taking on the top seed in the East in the ECF, and it should be an exciting series. Game one of the series will take place on Tuesday night and it will be in Boston.
