The Orlando Magic lost in game seven on Sunday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Cleveland went up 2-0 in the series with two comfortable wins, and a lot of people thought this series was going to be a snooze fest. The Magic did a great job of getting back in it, and a big reason why they were able to was the play of Paolo Banchero. Banchero played great all series long, and he played his heart out in game seven.
Paolo Banchero did everything he could in game seven to get a win for the Magic, but it still wasn’t enough. He finished the game with 38 points on 10-28 shooting and he was 3-6 from deep. Banchero also grabbed 16 (!!) rebounds. He played a great game, and Jamahl Moseley had a lot of good things to say about him after the game.
“Special,” Mosley said after the game in regards to Banchero, according to an article from NBA.com. “There’s a reason why he’s an All-Star. There’s a reason why he’ll be All-NBA. Big moments, he never shies away from them. Never backed down. (He) wanted every ounce of whatever they were throwing at him…All the things that you’ve asked him to do in these big moments, he did.”
Paolo Banchero is only 21, but he is already a star in the NBA. The Magic had a great year, and they will be back.
The Cavaliers are now moving on after finishing the terrific first round series. They will get the top team in the NBA next, the Boston Celtics. That series should be a good one.
