Former NBA point guard Eric Bledsoe is seemingly attempting to make it back to the league, as he and other professional players took place in a private workout for teams over the weekend.
“The workout took place on Saturday morning, [Christian] Koloko’s agent Calvin Andrews of Klutch Sports told The U.S. Sun,” wrote Damian Burchardt.
“The 7-foot center was joined by fellow free agents DJ Wilson, Thon Maker, Cory Joseph, Austin Rivers, Brandon Boston Jr., Talen Horton-Tucker, Juan Toscano-Alexander, and two-time NBA All-Defensive guard Eric Bledsoe.
“They showcased their skills in front of dozens of NBA team representatives from across the league.”
Bledsoe has tons of NBA experience, having played in the league for a total of 12 seasons. He’s played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans and been named to two All-Defensive teams.
He was one of the NBA’s top point guards for a few seasons before falling out of the league after the 2021-22 campaign, which he played for the Clippers.
What has Bledsoe been up to?

For the past two seasons, Bledsoe has played for the Shanghai Sharks in China. In a total of 69 games for the Sharks, he has averaged 16.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game while knocking down 45.8 percent of his shots from the field and 33.2 percent from 3-point range.
It’ll be interesting to see if any NBA team signs Bledsoe as training camp gets closer. Teams undoubtedly always have a need for veteran leadership, and Bledsoe could easily provide that as well as some solid defense and playmaking off the bench for contenders.
Over the course of his NBA career, the 34-year-old has averaged 13.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. There’s been tons of movement across the league so far this offseason, with excitement for the 2024-25 season increasing with each day.
